What does APSA do?

APSA works with the Architects Registration Board (ARB), Professional bodies such as the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and organisations such as the Standing Conference of Heads of Schools of Architecture (SCHOSA) in the pursuit of the following objectives:.

  • Maintaining and improving the provision of Professional Studies and Training in Schools of Architecture, associated places of learning and Professional Practices.
  • Identifying and fostering areas of communication and collaboration in Professional Studies and Professional Training between the Schools themselves, with Practices and with other professional bodies.
  • Liaising with, informing and making representations to parent and associated institutions, course validating and professional bodies, and resource and funding authorities.
  • Supporting research into professional training, experience and development in architecture.
